This past Saturday I was inspired to piece together a Comp Magazine Ad. I spent the majority of the day working on it off and on. I’m particularly a fan of pin striped suits, so I decided to run with the male subject photo that I found on SXC. I ended up choosing Armani as the fictional client out of pure randomness after glancing at a bottle of my cologne.

I had been wanting to give the abstract style a try and this is the result. I’m not a big fan of the designs that get too busy, so I developed my elements and determined the placement based on focal points of the main subject. For example, his downcast eyes determined my placement of the logo and shining sun/star to create the illusion that he is “gazing” at those elements.
